The Supreme Court declared 13th Amendment to the constitution that introduced the caretaker government is void. Only next two general election of Bangladesh may be held under caretaker govt. but it will not continue.
A 7 member’s bench of the Appellate Division declared the rules today. Court says the thirteenth amendment which was added to the constitution in 1996 is illegal and should delete the provision that requires former Chief Justice; General Election should be held under election commission.
